The Bruins took on the Rangers tonight at TD Garden and lost 5-2.

After the game, Head Coach Jim Montgomery met with reporters to discuss the game. He said that he believed the team did not check well enough or put enough effort into competing for the puck.

Montgomery: «I don't think we checked well enough. I don't think we competed hard enough on pucks.»

Montgomery does not seem pleased with his team's effort tonight and will likely have them skating quite hard at practice tomorrow in preparation for their next game against the Flyers on Saturday.

The Bruins will need to figure things out quickly if they want to actually have a chance at going far in the playoffs.
