The Bruins have acquired Pat Maroon but will have to wait a little while longer to see the big forward in action as he is still making his way back from injury.
Bruins Head Coach Jim Montgomery made some comments regarding where he sees Maroon playing. He mentioned how Maroon is a threat in the offensive zone especially down low where he is able to make a ton of plays happen, he also mentioned his incredible net-front presence.
«The thing I know about Pat Maroon is (he's) someone we can put in offensive zone faceoffs,»
«He's gonna set picks. He's gonna get to the net front. He's gonna get behind the net. He has an uncanny ability to make plays from behind the net and down low.»
Montgomery did admit however that he will have to see him in action before making any final decisions because it comes down to if he can come through on expectations and his chemistry with his teammates.
Maroon fits in the lineup, but he told reporters you have «to see it on the ice» and «see the chemistry» of the players who play well together.
