Ovechkin comments on being banned from the Olympics

Russia is still banned from competing in the Olympics and World Hockey Tournament and in a recent interview, Alex Ovechkin spoke on the matter.
Ovechkin knows this would probably be his last Olympics in 2026 and mentioned how he would loved to participate but with the ongoing ban, he is not sure if that will be a possibility.
"In theory, yes, but you see what is happening with our team now. They are not allowing us to participate in the World Championships or the Olympics, so I don't know how this will all happen."
Clearly Ovechkin would love to represent his country once again at the Olympics but the decision is completely out of his hands which is unfortunate for him.
