Former Bruin Tyler Bertuzzi is set to become a free agent on July 1st as he only signed a 1 year deal with the Leafs. There has been speculation that the Bruins might be interested despite contract negotiations beginning with the Leafs.
Superstar David Pastrnak was on the Spittin Chiclets podcast and asked how he would feel about Bertuzzi returning to Boston. Pastrnak seemed hesitant on the idea of having him return since he left for their rivals.
"He went to the Leafs. Bertuzzi went to the Leafs. Are you kidding me? He went to the Leafs. I don't know, man. You got me into a tight squeeze right now.
But I said already, for the Boston Bruins, Original Six, it should be enough for you to come want to play here and obviously, would I love people to come and wanting to play with me? Yes, of course, but, how I said, at the end of the day, if you don't want to come to the Bruins, you know, like, you have to want to come there."
Clearly Pastrnak wants to stay in Boston and wants players to join the team that are passionate about joining an original 6 franchise.
