Roster Update Today: Bruins Assign Prospect Lohrei to Providence

Today, April 20th, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney revealed that 23-year-old prospect defenseman Mason Lohrei has been sent down to the Providence Bruins.

Lohrei, who is only 23, has played in 41 games for Boston this season, tallying 4 goals and 9 assists, totaling 13 points. Additionally, in 19 games with Providence, he has 1 goal and 14 assists, amounting to 15 points.

Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 211 pounds, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native was drafted by Boston in the second round (58th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

He is going to be a lot of fun to watch for a long time, just now isn't that time.
