GM Don Sweeney has stated that signing to Swayman has been his number one priority this offseason, but with the lack of progression in signing a deal, it looks like those comments are just empty ones.
The 25-year-old has decided to not go back to arbitration, which means that him and the Bruins are likely going to sign a deal, though, the time-table for it is still unknown.
Even though Swayman split time with Vezina winning goaltender Linus Ullmark, in 44 games, he had a .916 save percentage with a 2.53 goals-against average, proving he is an elite goalie in the NHL.
It is a waiting game at this point, but other teams still have the chance to send qualifying offers to the new number 1 Bruins netminder.
