Bruins General Manager announced in a press-conference following the trade deadline that defensemen Derek Forbort will be placed on long-term injured reserve as his season is likely over.
Sweeney disclosed that Forbort has been playing through two injuries in which one of them needs surgery while the other one will also likely need surgery.
