It is with out a doubt that the Boston Bruins' number 1 priority is to sign RFA goalie Jeremey Swayman to a contract extension this offseason but have been at at stalemate.

The Bruins do need to be careful as well because beloved captain and future hall of famer Brad Marchand's will be in need of a co draft at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 season.

Although Brad Marchand is 36 years old, he is still proving to be one of the best wingers in the game. He managed to score 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points in a full 82 game season.

GM Don Sweeneybhad been it extremely clear that signing Marchand is one of their number one Priorities (heard that before) and is confident they will get a deal done.

Yeah, we're going to get to Brad. He's learning patience as a captain as well. So, he has to learn there's some ducks in a row in terms of adding to our group and how he wants to add to that, and those guys that don't have contracts up ahead. Eventually, he'll extend here.

"He'll be a lifelong Bruin. That's what we should do. But we'll check that box."

Do you have any confidence that Sweeney will get these 2 deals done after how messy the Jeremy Swayman contract negations have gone?
