The Bruins have a serious challenge ahead concerning goaltender Jeremy Swayman as the contract situation continues to worsen.
Boston only has $8.6 million left in cap space while reports are confirming that Swayman is looking for over $9 million AAV which puts the Bruins in an interesting situation.
DuPont suggests that while the Boston Bruins have $8.6 million in cap space, they still may have to make a trade to free up a bit more room in order to sign goaltender Jeremy Swayman.

Swayman definitely has the upper hand in this situation since the Bruins have already traded away Linus Ullmark and need to make a deal happen with Swayman if they plan on staying competitive.
