The Bruins replace Brad Marchand with a surprise player at camp

The Boston Bruins and head coach Jim Montgomery are putting together some interesting line combinations, and this one specifically will surprise you.
With Bruins captain Brad Marchand out from taking regular reps with the top line in camp, they have elected to slide new PTO signee Tyler Johnson into his slot.
In the second group Lindholm-Carlo and Lohrei-Peeke are skating as pairings and Johnson-Coyle-Lysell skating as a line with Tyler Johnson presumably skating in the Brad Marchand spot until he's cleared to practice. Beecher-Kastelic-Duran is an intriguing 4th line combo
It definitely is surprising as you would think other, more solidified players would be taking those reps. But it seems by the reports that Johnson is excelling right now in his new role and will most probably earn a contract this season.
