It's no secret that the Boston Bruins will be missing out of drafting in the first round for the second year in a row. However, this may very well change in the coming weeks, as Bruins general manager Don Sweeny is rumored to be trading Linus Ulmmark to the New Jersey Devils for a 10th overall first round draft pick. If this trade comes to fruition, who should the Boston Bruins select?
Realistically, most of the elite talent will be selected within the first five picks, but at 10th overall, the Bruins will still be poised to scoop up a new high skilled prospect which could help bolster their team.
One of the prospects rumored to be of significance to Don Sweeny and the Bruins is WHL's Colton Roberts. Still yet to turn 18, Roberts is a towering 6'4" defenseman weighing nearly 200 lbs. He is reported to be a "full package" player with immense potential, though he still has plenty of room for growth in his game.
Last season with the Vancouver Giants, Roberts tallied 27 points in 62 regular games. Should the Boston Bruins go for a young talented defenseman like Roberts?
