On Sunday night, the Anaheim Ducks visited the Saddledome in Calgary, with the Flames needing a victory to maintain their playoff hopes. Trailing 4-3 in the third, Lucic sped down his off-wing and ripped a perfect shot past Lukas Dostal to tie the game.

Over his eight-year tenure in Boston, Lucic reached a career-high of 30 goals during the 2010-11 season and achieved two additional seasons with over 20 goals (26 in 2011-12 and 24 in 2013-14).
