After Winning the Sanely Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022, Nazem Kadri was able to solidify a nice contract for himself with the Calgary Flames, but, somethings changed.
With Tkachuk gone and Huberdeau not living up to his great play that everyone saw as a Florida Panther, The flames are ina tight spot and are on their way to a full rebuild... Something that Kadri is not interested in sticking around for.
He has more leverage in getting what he wants as he put up a monster season for Calgary in 2023.
Nazem Kadri had an incredible season for the Calgary Flames. The second best of his career putting up 75 points in 82 games.
Will he be able to replicate that next season?

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Kadri would "welcome" a move to a team he's previously played for or somewhere closer to his hometown of London, Ontario:
"My understanding with respect to (Kadri) is that he's willing to waive (the no-move clause) for the right situation. I think he would welcome a return to Colorado or farther East, somewhere closer to home."
Kadri has expressed interest in going back to the team that drafted him, the Toronto Maple Leafs, but with their limited cap space and the organization locking up Max Domi, is there any chance this happens?
We will have to wait and see.
