After Being the first ever draft pick selcted by the Utah Hockey Club, Tig Iginla wished he was drafted by a different team.

Tij Iginla was drafted 6rth overall in this year 2024 NHL Entry Draft, but new reports have released that he wished the Calgary Flames would have taken him so he could follow in the footsteps of his Hall-of -Famer father, Jerome Iginla.

One fan had a run in with the new shiny draft pick and some comments were made that make many believe he wasn't thrilled about being selected by Utah.

"Nahh saw this guy at work told him I wish you got drafted by the flames he said he wished that too"

Last season for the Kelowna Rockets, Iginla had a breakout year, he scored 47 goals and 37 assists in 64 games, with an outstanding +/- of +17. Many hoped that he would be drafted by the flames but it just wasn't meant to be.

It wasn't meant to be with Tij Iginla and the Calgary Flames.
