Earlier this year, former New Jersey Devils' head coach Andrew Brunette faced legal trouble when he was pulled over in South Florida for alleged impaired driving in a golf cart.

Body cam footage shows the encounter, with Brunette refusing to walk a straight line and mentioning his lawyer. Tensions rose as a deputy sheriff threatened to handcuff him, despite Brunette's efforts to remain calm.

Multiple officers were present, raising questions about the response's proportionality. Towards the end, Brunette mentioned his coaching history with the Florida Panthers.

Brunette's attorney, Eric Schwartzreich, emphasized Brunette's sobriety and expressed confidence in his vindication.

As of September 19, criminal charges against Nashville Predators' head coach Andrew Brunette have been dropped in the DUI case.
