Following the announcement that Patrice Bergeron would be absent from Boston's lineup, Matt Porter from the Boston Globe revealed that a top six forward would also return for Florida.
According to Porter:
The 26-year-old Bennett skated in 63 games for the Panthers this season, registering 16 goals and 24 assists. As a former first-round pick, he also contributes a considerable physical presence to the team, which was lacking in the first game.
