Due to a terrible storm, Air traffic control has decided to stop the Florida Panthers from traveling by plane to Edmonton.

It wasn't just the Panthers who are having trouble traveling, an awful rainstorm had canceled most of the flights coming out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL).

Panthers fans trying to get to Edmonton are having a tough time this morning.

There are almost no planes being allowed to fly north or west from South Florida due to storms and FAA routing.

The team still is planning to land in Edmonton by late this evening, they just do not know how long the delay will be and what detours they will need to take.

This monsoon which has impacted South Florida the past two days is affecting the #FlaPanthers flight to Edmonton.

They are delayed, but expect to get there tonight.

Flight scheduled but many players and staff still at complex.

According to reporter Tim Reynolds, the earliest they will be able to fly into Edmonton will be 8pm, but it could be much later.

The Panthers cannot get to Edmonton until at least 8 pm local time tonight -- and probably much later. Ground stop in Fort Lauderdale until at least 4 pm."
