The Dallas Stars are in a tough spot, down 2-0 to Vegas, and they're determined to make a comeback in this series. We were expecting a fierce battle, but things took a dramatic turn early on in game three.

At just 1 minute and 53 seconds into the game, Jamie Benn delivered a forceful hit to Mark Stone, the captain of the Vegas team. Unfortunately, Stone was left sprawled on the ice, and instead of showing sportsmanship, Benn crossed the line by aggressively cross-checking him in the upper body while he was on the ice. As a result, Benn received a five-minute major penalty and was ejected from the game.

Here's a video clip of the incident:

Seeing your team captain engage in such behavior so early in a crucial game is disheartening, especially when you're already trailing 1-0 in the game. To make matters worse, Vegas capitalized on the situation and quickly scored three goals in just 7 minutes and 10 seconds, effectively putting the game out of reach for Dallas in the first period itself.

Adding insult to injury, Rope Hintz collided with Evgenii Dadonov, resulting in Dadonov sustaining a lower body injury that forced him out of the game. The Stars' troubles continue to mount.

This series is not looking favorable for Dallas at the moment, with Vegas on the verge of taking a commanding 3-0 lead. It's looking like Vegas will be just one win away from securing a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals.
