This update came straight from St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong on Tuesday. Krug is set for another evaluation on October 1 before the NHL regular season kicks off.
Krug, who's entering his fourth season with the Blues, faced trade talks and opted not to waive his NTC. In his impressive 701-game NHL career with the Blues, he's tallied 444 points, including 85 goals and 359 assists, with a plus-31 rating.
Unfortunately, Krug has had his fair share of injury setbacks since joining the Blues. In the past two seasons, he's missed a significant number of games, totaling 64 and 63, due to a mix of upper- and lower-body injuries and even a battle with COVID-19.
