A video uploaded online captures a moment where a player, straight from a faceoff, seizes an adversary and swiftly knocks him down with a right-hand punch, triggering every other player on the rink to engage in a skirmish with an opponent.
Once #20 knocks down his initial rival, he pursues a defender and strikes a powerful blow, leaving him down on the ice. Then, a player from the bench intervenes, confronting him and administering a considerable thrashing after seeing two teammates take heavy hits.
The reasons behind this melee or any disciplinary actions taken against the players remain unknown. However, the video clearly demonstrates that the combative nature of the game remains robust.
