Auston Matthews may miss the rest of the Bruins series

The Boston Bruins currently lead their series with the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1. In the Bruins Game 4 victory, it was noticeable that Auston Matthews was missing during the 3rd period. The Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe has clarified that Auston Matthews was missing due to an illness.
Sheldon Keefe on Auston Matthews: "For whatever reason, it's not one of those run-of-the-mill everyday type of illnesses that sort of come and go. This one has lingered. The affects have lingered and gotten worse when he gets on the ice and is asserting himself."

It is not clear what type of Illness that Matthews is battling but unfortunately, for Matthews it seems to be an illness that is affecting his ability to play which is why he was absent from the 3rd period last game. The Boston Bruins will look to close the series out on Tuesday night in Boston and we will know shortly if Auston Matthews will be playing.
