It's been anticipated for the past few days, but now Gary Bettman is expected to announce the official relocation of the Arizona Coyotes in the coming days.

The NHL is poised for the Arizona Coyotes' move to Salt Lake City, and it's now confirmed that Gary Bettman will officially announce the relocation next week, on April 18th.

Gary Bettman will reportedly make the announcement on April 18th that the Coyotes are being sold to Ryan Smith and moving to Salt Lake City 🏔️

There is word tonight the Arizona Coyotes players were informed in a meeting they are going to Utah. Players and staff may be headed to Salt Lake City right after Wednesday's game to check out the facilities and the city

Following Arizona's failure to secure an arena deal in time and owner Alex Meruelo's struggle to sustain the team, the Arizona Coyotes will now be under the ownership of Ryan Smith, owner of the Utah Jazz, in Salt Lake City. It remains uncertain whether the Smith group will have branding, team name, and jersey/logo ready for unveiling, given recent solicitations for name suggestions on social media. Nonetheless, the team's ownership has been secured.

The relocation will be immediate, with the Salt Lake City team entering the NHL for the 2024-25 season. Potential conference and/or division realignment suggests significant changes ahead for the NHL landscape.
