Jeff Skinner signs interesting deal

The Sabres made headlines two days ago when they bought out forward Jeff Skinner out of the last 3 years of his contract.
This buy out made Skinner a free agent on July 1st and he decided to sign with the Edmonton Oilers for 1 year with an AAV of $3 Million.

This is clearly a prove it deal as Skinner's production took a big dip last season and the Oilers want to see what he is capable of doing before making a bigger offer.
