The Boston Bruins are playing the Florida Panthers tonight in Florida. The Bruins were looking to go up 2-0 in the series, prior to coming home to Boston for Games 3 and 4. After leading 1-0 after the 1st period, the Panthers took over the game and jumped to a 4-1 lead early in the 3rd period. Jeremy Swayman was pulled early in the 3rd period, after allowing a 4th goal of the game. Linus Ullmark replaced Swayman in net.
Swayman being pulled after allowing 4 goals, is very surprising, based off how well he has been playing this postseason. Coming into tonight's game, Swayman has played in 7 postseason games with a 1.42 GAA and .955 save percentage.
After being pulled tonight, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery made sure to go over and speak with Swayman. It is not clear if Swayman will start Game 3 but it would not be surprising if he does as he played exceptional all post season up to this game.
