In a scary moment in Saturday's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins, NHL referee Steve Kozari was stretchered off the ice. Kozari was stretchered off the ice as he collided with Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Haydn Fleury. The collision occurred as Kozari and Fleury did not see each other as they were watching the play and they collided at center ice.

Per Leah Hextall, Steve Kozari lost consciousness after the collision, but Kozari was moving his extremities, before he was taken off the ice. We did see a touching moment as both teams left their bench for Kozari as he was being looked at and stretchered off the ice.

Replay of the collision between referee Steve Kozari and Haydn Fleury. Kozari was responsive as he was stretchered off the ice.

Fleury, did not return after the collision as well. We all hope that Fleury and Kozari make full recoveries.
