USA goalie forced to play for different country due to major emergency

Due to an emergency on the Swedish National Team, American goalie, Joey Slavickwas forced to suit up the pads for them in the World Junior Showcase.

The 1st day of the Showcase commenced with the 2 American teams (White & Blue) facing off against Sweden and Finland.

Sweden has an emergency situation with their goalies and had to call up 17-year-old, Joe Slavick from the U.S to play in net.
"A rare sight: American USNTDP goaltender Joey Slavick is backing up Sweden today. #WJSS"
Unfortunately Slavick suffered the loss to Team Blue of the United States losing 7-2.
"WJSS final score: Sweden was buried by USA Blue 2-7. Lucas Pettersson finished scoreless."
