Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner faces a complicated situation involving fraud allegations and financial troubles.

He and his wife are being sued due to their failure to repay borrowed funds, with businessman Michael Borden accusing Lehner of deceiving him about the loan's purpose.

Borden claims that Lehner misrepresented the profitability of his SolarCode business and its government contracts, which were supposed to be supported by the loan.

Additionally, court filings reveal Lehner's undisclosed debts of over $16 million at the time of the loan. Furthermore, Lehner allegedly sought another loan of $500,000, promising early repayment during his guaranteed contract with the Golden Knights.

Despite being absent from the current NHL season, Lehner continues to earn from his substantial contract. The question remains whether Lehner can overcome these challenges and make a successful NHL comeback.
