In recent talks, the Boston Bruins seem to be open to the idea of making a deal for their current player Jake DeBrusk.

It has been reported that the Pittsburgh Penguins have been eyeing the Bruins' left winger. DeBrusk has played a total of 67 games this season, with 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points.

Penguins free agent targets

Considering his play style, he may very well be able to fill in Jake Guentzel's role after the Penguins player was traded to the Hurricanes in return for Michael Bunting, a few forward prospects and a conditional first-round pick in the draft of 2024 at the NHL trade deadline. While the Penguins continue a disappointing season of 30 wins and 28 losses, DeBrusk might be an interesting addition to switch things up and allow the team to change up their next season's strategy.
