The Boston Bruins secured an early playoff spot last week, and they now have the chance to achieve another remarkable milestone tonight.
A Historic Season in the Making
Boasting a 54-11-5 record, the Bruins have the opportunity to secure the Atlantic Division title tonight, even before any other team has locked in a playoff berth.
The Bruins will clinch the Atlantic Division title if they defeat the Canadiens in any fashion AND the Maple Leafs lose to the Panthers in regulation.
The Maple Leafs will be in Florida while the Bruins take on the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden. Both matches are set for a 7 pm EST start.
Should Boston clinch the division title tonight - in their 71st game - they would become the fastest team to achieve this feat since the 1997 Colorado Avalanche (70 games).
