As the Bruins gear up for their game three face-off against the Panthers, they've made a last-minute move by bringing in a player on an emergency basis.

According to the Bruins' PR team:

Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, April 20, that the team has recalled forward Oskar Steen from Providence on an emergency basis.

This season, Steen has made his presence felt in three NHL games, netting a goal in St. Louis on April 2nd. The 25-year-old also played in 64 games with Providence, racking up 14 goals and 17 assists.

What's the Implication of This Call-Up?

While it's still unclear whether captain Patrice Bergeron joined the squad on their trip to Florida, Steen's call-up might be an indication that he didn't.

We'll have to keep an eye out for updates. Stay tuned!
