The Bruins just won their second game in a row with a rout of the Ney Jersey Devils 5-2. While many things have gone right for the Bruins these last two games, one of the most encouraging signs for the team has been the rebirth of their secondary scoring; namely Jake Debrusk.

Debrusk has been the center of the fans and coaches' criticism the past few weeks for his poor performance and lack of point producing. Debrusk has been a very solid point producer throughout his career, which makes this season so puzzling for fans to figure out. He has hit or topped 25 goals over the past two season and has been a 40-50 point per year player (outside of the covid shortened year). This season through 33 games five goals and ten assists. However, four of those points have come in the past two games, signaling a turnaround for Debrusk.
Debrusk had two assists in the Bruins win over the Sabres on Wednesday night and a goal (his first in 11 games) and an assist in the Bruins over the Devils Saturday night. His goal against the Devils came on an incredible deke as well. This would signify a return of Debrusk confidence in his skills. His assist came on Davis Pastrnak's power play goal which is also encouraging to see him produce on special teams.
It is not a coincidence that the Bruins have regained their winning form as their secondary scoring has come alive again. This takes pressure off their stars and makes the whole team more dangerous. The NHL has been put on notice that the Bruins are back to being the force that skyrocketed them to the top of the standings.
