Bruins GM Don Sweeney has never been afraid to be aggressive when upgrading his team at the Trade Deadline. Last year being an example of landing Taylor Hall, bolstering their already potent roster on the road to winning the President's Trophy. This year could be no different.

The Bruins have outdone all expectations going into this season, being at the top of the standings all year long and in a consistent battle for top of the Division and Top off the league. This could lead to Don Sweeney once again working the phones as he appears to already be doing in hoping to add a top-line center and a few bottom six forward to balance out his offense.

The Bruins are 25-8-9 good for 59 points and Top of the Atlantic Division, only two points away from the Canucks for first in the NHL. However, they only have 1 million in cap space, and limited trade assets (no draft picks in this year's first three rounds and no second rounder next year). Their 1st round pick from 2025 can come into play if they see necessary, but it would need to be for the right player. Elias Lindholm remains their top target, along with Sean Monahan. Corey Perry who recently revealed he is free to sign with any team after his meeting with NHL commissioner, could also be a fit for the team looing to bolster their scoring.

Whoever they go after, it seems Don Sweney is already working his way into making a big deal, whether that comes at the deadline or before the deadline, stay tuned!
