Cole Spicer who the Bruins took with the 20th pick in the 4th round of the 2022 draft has been enjoying a productive season thus far for the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Spicer however has been ruled out the rest of the year, but not due to injury. He has been deemed academically ineligible to play the second half of the year, ending his season.
The 19-year-old has been having a respectable sophomore season for the UMD Bulldogs, scoring five goals and four assists in 17 game appearances. He was promoted to the team's top line earlier in the season. Hopefully this will not derail Spicer's development as he had already surpassed his point total from last year and was showing promising signs as a Bruins Prospect.
