New reports indicate that an even better player than Lindholm is on the Bruins radar, however they may have to wait until the offseason to get the trade done. The San Jose Sharks are in the middle of a complete rebuild. They are the worst team in the league and will be selling off assets by the truck load. This is where 30-year-old Tomas Hertl comes in.
Offseason trade discussions with Sharks GM Mike Grier have already begun, due to the fact that the 30-year-old does not want to be part of a rebuild. He wants to be on a contending team. The two teams listed as front runners for Hertl's services are the Boston Bruins and Calgary Flames. Significant amount of assets may be required, but for a player of Hertl's stature it may be worth it much more then Elias Lindholm, who many consider a stretch due to the factthat it is a weak year in regard to who's available via trade at the deadline. Hertl has 15 goals and 19 assists this year playing with a bad Shark team. He would bring size and offensive prowess to score in bunches to any team.
