One Bruins Reporter thinks Pastrnak should be firmly in the conversation for the Hart Trophy. The numbers and his consistency would agree with that comment.
To remind everyone, Pastrnak is tied for third in the league in points, with 53, 9 behind Nitkita Kucherov and Nathan MacKinnon. He has 23 goals and 30 assists, which shows his ability to be a playmaker along with a goal scorer. He has 10 points in the Bruins last five games. Even when they hit a small rough stretch at the end of the December, Pasta was still producing for the Bruins.
With all the stars in the NHL today, both young and old, such as Connor McDavid, Connor Bedard, Sydney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, and Nathan MacKinnon, among many others, Pastrnak will sometimes get overlooked. He is not the flashiest player; he doesn't blow you away with speed. What he does is produce constantly. This year is especially impressive with the amount of talent the Bruins lost from last year to this year. It's time to start giving David Pastrnak more attention, and more respect. He has been named to the All-Star game already, the NHL is starting to learn what Bruins fans have already known, in Pasta we trust!
