Decision Coming Soon for Bruins Player Holding Up Trades

One of the most talked about Bruins leading up to the trade deadline is Jake DeBrusk. DeBrusk has had a tumultuous career in Boston to say the least. From goal scoring machine, to an unhappy player who requested a trade, only to rescind the request later. He had a rough start to this year, by far his worst since his rookie year, but he has turned it around since. He is currently sitting at 12 goals and 25 points on the year, the majority of that coming after the Christmas holiday.
The Bruins are looking for defense now that the top two forward on the trade market are gone. They are looking for a big physical defenseman, however they have very limited cap space. Getting DeBrusk's $4 million off the books could go a long way in acquiring that defense they are looking for.
Jake DeBrusk has recently said he is hoping to sign an extension in Boston, but the closer we get to the deadline without that happening, the more it seems DeBrusk is seeing the end of his time in Boston. Once again, the Bruins are one of the most interesting cases going into the trade deadline, and for the weeks leading up to it.
