Jagr, eager for an early-season return following last year's illness, expressed his excitement:
After Kladno's opening loss to HC Olomouc, Jagr hit the ice against Pardubice. Last season, he played 26 games, notching 19 points with a 5-14 record.
Jagr's debut with Kladno last year saw him record two assists despite a loss to Liberec.
Having left the NHL's Calgary Flames in 2017-2018, Jagr enters his seventh season with HC Kladno. His legendary NHL career spanned 24 years, amassing 1,921 points (766 goals, 1155 assists) and two Stanley Cup victories.
Like Gordie Howe, who played his final NHL game at 52, Jagr may contemplate retirement after this season or the next, potentially leading to his Hockey Hall of Fame induction in 2027.
