In the 2018 NHL Draft the Boston Bruins selected defenseman Urho Vaakanainen. Five years, and 108 games later he scored his first NHL goal for the Anaheim Ducks.
Vaakanainen is currently the number five defenseman for the Anaheim Ducks. He has bounced from being drafted by the Bruins to being traded to the Ducks in 2021, not living up to his draft status of a first round pick. This season, he has a mere six points in 40 games and a +6 rating.
While the Bruins have a history of drafting well, this one seems to be a bust and they cut losses in 2021 when they traded Vaakanainen to the Ducks which brought back Hampus Lindholm to the Bruins.
