After his team's fourth straight win Jim Montgomery met with reporters, saying that he was happy with his team's performance and saying they played a heavy game to get the win. Commenting on a few performances individually.
The Head Coach gave an update on defenseman Mason Lohrei who took a puck to the mouth during the game and had to exit but would return later. Montgomery said it looked scary, the defenseman lost a tooth (vintage hockey!) and had a cut in his mouth that would need to be sutured up. The tough as nails defenseman made his way through the rest of the game while bleeding from the mouth through most of it.
Montgomery also commented on the production of James Van Riemsdyk who had a three-point night for the Bruins. He was happy for JVR to get a goal as he has not scored in a while but has been producing points for the team at a rapid pace, becoming the fastest Bruins player to score his first 25 points with the club (34 games) since Marc Savard in 06-07.
