The strong bond between Boston's goalie duo, Ullmark and Swayman, has been a key factor in their success, and it was clearly on display before the critical game seven.

Looking back, it seems that coach Jim Montgomery should have given Jeremy Swayman a chance earlier in the opening round series against the Panthers. There were even rumors that Linus Ullmark was playing despite an injury.

However, the decision about who should be the Bruins' goalie for the decisive game generated considerable debate at the time.

A Supportive Goalie Partnership

In the end, Montgomery chose to trust Swayman for the first time in the series. As Swayman later revealed, Ullmark offered him unwavering support and encouragement.

''Yeah he did, some words I'll never forget.''

'That's just the kind of person he is. We support each other through everything. Through the highest of highs and lowest of lows. To have someone there for you, you'll never forget those kinds of things. He's been there. I absolutely love that guy. It's a special thing that we have.''

Swayman on Ullmark

As the Bruins' goalie pair has grown closer over their time sharing the crease, rumors have surfaced that one of them may be leaving Boston soon.

However, judging by their heartfelt words about one another, it's clear that Ullmark and Swayman will remain best friends for life.
