Major NHL Insider Confirms Bruins' Interest in Star Player

The Bruins once again sit atop the Atlantic Division standings this season. However, the Florida Panthers have shrunk the Bruins lead all the way down to just one point. While the Bruins have had a pleasantly surprising season, they need to find a way to stay competitive when all of their competition will be looking to add at the trade deadline.
NHL Insider Frank Seravalli had this to say:
Charlie Coyle has been excellent. Morgan Geekie and Matthew Poitras have punched above their weight class. But even for a team with a couple elite wingers, there is a big disparity between the spoked-B and their playoff counterparts in strength down the middle. Elias Lindholm sure would be nice. One problem: Boston is limited in assets to trade to acquire that piece, without first, second or third-round picks this year, or a second in 2025.
It's been well documented this year that the Bruins will most likely be bargain shopping at the trade deadline with their limited cap space, and lack of draft picks. They do not have a 1st, 2nd or 3rd round pick in this year's draft, and also don't have a 2nd round pick in next year's draft. Their first rounder in 2025 can come into play along with players like Brandon Carlo and Jake Debrusk, however the Bs may decide to keep their current roster intact considering they sit in first place.
It seems like the Bruins won't be just bargain shopping after all, and two of the top available centers in Elias Lindholm and Thomas Hertl are very much on their radar.
