Major announcement involving Georgii Merkulov

The American Hockey League disclosed that Georgii Merkulov, a forward for the Providence Bruins, has been chosen to participate in the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic.
This is Merkulov's inaugural All-Star selection, achieved in his second professional season. At 23 years old, he has already demonstrated impressive skill, scoring 14 goals and earning 19 assists, totaling 33 points in the first 33 games of the season.
In the league rankings, Merkulov is tied for third in points (33), eighth in goals (14), and 15th in both assists (19) and power play goals (5). He also leads the P-Bruins in these statistics.
Merkulov's talents earned him his first NHL call-up on December 29, leading to his debut in four NHL games with the Boston team.
