As the Washington Capitals pay tribute to Alexander Ovechkin for becoming the NHL's second highest goal scorer ever, Patrice Bergeron offered his support.

The Bruins' captain was among several active players who sent personal messages to commemorate "The Great 8's" incredible achievement.

Celebrating a Legendary Milestone

Alongside other stars such as Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, and Patrick Kane, Bergeron conveyed a heartfelt message to the Capitals' captain:

Ovechkin is being honored for surpassing Gordie Howe's record, taking sole ownership of the second place behind Wayne Gretzky in the all-time goals list. The 37-year-old has amassed 819 career goals, only 75 behind Gretzky.
