Since January 1st, 2023, the Bruins rank 28th in the NHL on the power play with a mere 14.9% success rate. But why?
NBC's Mike Felger, known for his contentious opinions over the years, recently offered his thoughts on how to fix the power play: benching David Pastrnak.
Joe Haggerty from Boston Hockey Now shared Felger's full statement:
Felger's proposal involves sidelining the Bruins' most offensively skilled player - boasting 52 goals and 97 points - during the power play.
Although Pastrnak is tied with Evgeny Malkin for the league lead in giveaways at 100, other high-caliber players like Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Jack Hughes, Mitch Marner, and Artemi Panarin are also among the leaders.
It's only natural that the best players, who possess the puck most often, will also have the highest number of giveaways.
