Derek Forbort and Nick Foligno were already on the LTIR when Vezina contender Linus Ullmark got injured during the penultimate game of the season.
Concurrently, Patrice Bergeron was removed from the final regular-season game after the first period.
The Bruins were back at Warrior Ice Arena this morning, and several important developments unfolded. Most notably, Bergeron was absent. However, Foligno and Forbort donned regular practice jerseys for the first time since their injuries, and Ullmark returned to the ice as well.
Before alarm bells start ringing, head coach Jim Montgomery shared some optimistic news on the injured players after the morning skate. As reported by Matt Porter from The Boston Globe:
Based on these updates, it seems the Bruins will have a complete and healthy roster for the first game of the playoffs. The opening game is set for Monday night, with the Florida Panthers visiting the TD Garden.
