Unless something drastic happens, Linus Ullmark is poised to secure the Vezina Trophy, and a former Bruin has recently spoken up about the goaltender's remarkable season.

Ullmark joined the elite ranks of just six NHL goaltenders to ever achieve the "Triple Crown" by leading the league in wins (40), GAA (1.89), and SV% (.938).

He also shattered records by becoming the fastest goalie to reach 20, 30, and 40 wins in a single season, doing so in only 48 games.

A Season for the Ages

This prompted ex-Boston goalie and current NESN commentator, Andrew Raycroft, to make a strong assertion about the unparalleled nature of Ullmark's season:

''Linus Ullmark winning 40 games in 48 starts will never be matched again. Nuts''

Ullmark wrapped up the season with a remarkable 40-6-1 record. Only the Avalanche's Alexandar Georgiev has a chance to match him in wins, currently at 39 for the season.

Colorado and Georgiev are in the lead against the Predators with a 3-1 score. For comparison, it took Georgiev 62 games to - potentially - reach 40 wins.
