On Saturday against in Pittsburgh, Pastrnak notched a hat-trick and his first-ever 100-point season, and currently ranks in the top 10 for plus-minus with a +32.
As Twitter account, Boston Sports Info recently pointed out, Pastrnak is the first player this century to accomplish such a feat. See below:
At 26, Pastrnak has attained career highs in goals (56) and points (103), and with an assist against in St. Louis, he equaled his personal best of 47 assists.
The closest player to achieve similar stats since the turn of the century was Alexander Ovechkin during the 2007-08 season, when he notched 65 goals, 112 assists, and a +28 plus-minus.
Pastrnak's accomplishment mirrors that of one of his idols, Jaromir Jagr, who scored 62 goals, 149 points and had a +31 plus-minus rating for the Penguins in the 1995-96 season.
