Following the departure of veteran centers Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, both of whom retired, the Boston Bruins have become a significant question mark as they prepare for the 2022-23 NHL regular season. Despite a strong performance in the previous season, there's a prevailing belief that the Bruins might face challenges as the training camp approaches.

The void left by the departure of Bergeron and Krejci, along with the trades of Taylor Hall and the exits of several players due to salary cap constraints, has created uncertainty for the team. However, Jeff Marek, an NHL Insider at Sportsnet, shared an optimistic perspective on the "32 Thoughts Podcast."

Marek emphasized that the Bruins have consistently exceeded expectations and highlighted the team's ability to overcome challenges. He stated, "You lose Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, you're not coming back to being close to the same you were... I'm just not prepared to write off the Boston Bruins like some people are." Marek acknowledged the changes in the center position but emphasized the team's depth and talent in other areas.

Although the center position has seen a dip with Charlie Coyle and Pavel Zacha taking the top spots, the Bruins boast a lineup with skillful wingers like David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, and Jake DeBrusk. This lineup presents opportunities for those considering NHL betting.

DraftKings Sportsbook currently lists the Bruins with +1600 odds for a Stanley Cup victory, +850 odds for an Eastern Conference triumph, +1600 for the Presidents' Trophy, and +380 to win the Atlantic Division. These odds offer an appealing proposition for a team that has the potential to rise through the ranks once again.
