The city of Boston has always been known for its passionate NHL fanbase, and Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman knows it better than anyone else.

After their latest win over the Maple Leafs, Swayman praised the Bruins' faithful for their unwavering support, despite the team's lackluster performance for almost 50 minutes.

Crowd Playing Their Part

Swayman was the one of the stars of the game, stopping 31 of 32 shots to secure the 2-1 overtime win against the division rivals. He attributed his performance to the TD Garden crowd, who played a massive role in boosting the team's morale all season long.

As per Swayman:

''It felt like a playoff atmosphere out there tonight. You know, it's a different crowd when your ears start ringing in your helmet, you know, and that's, that's what happened that gave me chills.''

'That's why we play. That's why the city is so special to play in front of, and yeah, I think it was a good preparation game. But again, we're just having two points. And now we're focused on New Jersey.''

As Swayman mentioned, the game against the Maple Leafs was crucial for the Bruins in many ways. It allowed the team to experience another playoff-type atmosphere before the postseason, and put them two wins away from the single-season record.

Swayman has turned his season around completely after a rough start. He now boasts an impressive 22-6-4 record, a 2.20 GAA, a .921 SV%, and four shutouts.

The Bruins will look to continue their success when they face off against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
