Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney recently disclosed alterations to the team's roster in a new statement. Jesper Boqvist has been brought up to the team, whereas Georgii Merkulov has been sent down to Providence.

At 23 years old, Merkulov has participated in four games with Boston this season. His performance in Providence is noteworthy, achieving 30 points from 14 goals and 16 assists in 31 games. Accumulating 39 goals and 51 assists in 106 AHL games, Merkulov, who joined Boston in 2022 and hails from Ryazan, Russia, is progressively advancing in his career.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Boqvist has made two appearances for Boston this season. In his 31 games at Providence, he has gathered 23 points, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists. Boqvist's experience is extensive with 191 NHL games, including time with both Boston and New Jersey, adding significant value to the team.
